PulseCore

BPT LaTeX

The glyph language of Binary Pulse Theory as a LaTeX package. Each glyph is a command named for what it means, so a paper can write $\rho\collapse$ for ρ⦰ or $\localtempo$ for ①⥂⧗⌂ and print the very glyphs the book uses, in the fonts the package carries. The commands come from the tables of The BPT Glyph Language in chapter 1, and change when they do.

Start

  1. Unzip the package next to your .tex file: bpt.sty and the fonts/ folder. On Overleaf, upload both.
  2. Compile with XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX. On Overleaf: Menu, Compiler.
  3. Load it and write the glyphs as commands:
\usepackage{bpt}
...
\[ \localtempo = \sqrt{\hbar G / c^{5}} \approx 5.391 \times 10^{-44} \]
\[ \zinfinity = 1/\zinf = s/\localtempo \]

Every command also has a \bpt form, \bptzinf for \zinf, which always works even if another package has taken the short name. \bpt{…} prints any glyph string. Glyphs compose as the grammar reads, left to right: \data\energy is ↁ⚕.

Try it

On a web page

The same commands work in KaTeX and MathJax. bpt-latex.js exports them as macros, and toLatex(), which turns a Unicode BPT equation into them.

import { BPT_MACROS, toLatex } from './bpt-latex.js';
katex.render(toLatex('①⥂⧗⌂ = √(ℏG/c⁵)'), element, { macros: BPT_MACROS });

On the web the glyphs are set as text in the page's fonts: give .katex .text a font stack that includes Noto Sans Math and Noto Sans Symbols 2.
