Bits per Pulse

Definition

Bits per Pulse is the number of bits one Pulse Tempo of a universe carries. Data doubles exactly per level, so a Level-L universe carries 2^(L+1) bits in each Tempo and 2^L in each Rhythm; the heritage f stretches its time without adding data. A bit is one Zinf Rhythm, ℨ/2, and the single bit exists only at the Zinf: at Level 0 a Rhythm is one bit and a Tempo two. Our universe carries 2²⁰³ ≈ 1.286 × 10⁶¹ bits in each Planck pulse. The same Tempo lasts s = (2f)^L Zinf cycles, so the heritage f^L is time without data, and a universe processes data more slowly than the Zinf by exactly its heritage: about 2.4 × 10¹⁰⁴ bits a second at each of our pixels against the Zinf's 2/ℨ ≈ 8.76 × 10¹⁰⁵, a ratio of f²⁰² ≈ 36.7. The law also fixes how a universe's own pulses are counted: one flip of state, 0 → 1 or 1 → 0, is one Pulse Rhythm; one full cycle 0 → 1 → 0 is one Pulse Tempo and one frame; the Recursive Growth Law and the Rupture Rule count Tempos, never single flips. Bits per Pulse counts along time: what one pulse location carries in one Tempo. A pulse also has an inside in space, its Pulse Diameter (2f)^L Zinf Diameters across, and the theory counts what that inside holds on its boundary, as the Local Pixel Count (Level N) does, an area that at Level 202 lands on the Holographic Pixel Bound. The two counts multiply, so one Tempo of a whole universe's view carries 16 × 2^(2L) × 2^(L+1) = 2^(3L+5) bits. Formally, b⌂ = 2^(L+1) = 2s / f^L, where b⌂ is the number of bits in one Local Pulse Tempo [∅] (the symbol is provisional), L the universe's level [∅], s = (2f)^L the universal scaling factor [∅] and f^L the heritage over L levels [∅]: [∅] = [∅]^[∅]. It connects to The Universal Scaling Factor, Local Pulse Tempo / Planck Time Relation, Local Frame Rate, Rupture Rule, Recursive Growth Law, Constants of a Child Universe, Local Pixel Count (Level N) and Holographic Pixel Bound.
