Deterministic Elements

Definition

Deterministic Elements are the parts of the book's cosmic branching that are fully rule-governed: binary pulse rules that stay invariant and computable, initial conditions that completely determine offspring parameters, causal consistency within each domain, and predictable branching patterns from collapse dynamics. They are one half of the book's account of how universes branch, the other half being Structured Randomness, which covers apparent randomness from computational complexity, sensitive dependence on initial conditions, pseudo-random sequences from deterministic rules and statistical patterns from recursive interaction. Together, collapse events seed diversity, causal rules preserve consistency, and the Master Evolution Equation guides inheritance across generations, so cosmic branching is a patterned genealogy rather than chaotic proliferation. The book aligns this with causal set theory's picture of discrete spacetime. They pair with Structured Randomness and connect to Discrete Causal Architecture, Causal Domains, Master Evolution Equation, Branching Event and Genealogical Cascade.
