Galaxy (BPT)
Definition
A galaxy, in Binary Pulse Theory, is a well's basin gathering stars: millions to trillions of stars held by the gravity of their Data Matter halo, with a great well at the heart and the small wells of dead stars through it.
Its Data Matter, laid on the scaffold before any matter, is its dark halo; the Proto Well at the halo's densest place becomes its central well; its spin is the spin its clump gathered by tidal torque, carried down the lineage; its stars are the gas that cooled and kept that spin; and its type, elliptical, lenticular, spiral or irregular, is how much of that order survived collisions and feedback. Its central well's child inherits the galaxy's data at the final well.
It connects to Halo Spin Parameter, Disk Size, Rotation Fraction, Well–Bulge Relation, Wells per Galaxy, Data Matter and Proto Well.
