Goldstone Bosons

Definition

Goldstone Bosons are the gapless excitations that appear when a continuous symmetry is broken spontaneously; in the book they arise when the continuous symmetry of the unified pulse interaction breaks as the forces separate. They belong to the secondary step of the book's Hierarchical Symmetry Reduction. After the primary breaking gives a 3+1 dimensional spacetime framework (a target the book takes from observation; why 3+1 remains open), the Unified Pulse Interaction splits, G_U → SU(3)_strong × SU(2)_weak × U(1)_Y, through Recursive Phase Decoherence, and following Goldstone's result on continuous symmetry breaking, this generates gapless excitations as the hallmark of spontaneous breaking. The breaking itself is driven by the order parameter's Recursive Field Evolution, once recursive accumulation exceeds containment capacity and the Harmonic Fold Framework can no longer keep the substrate invariant. They connect to Secondary Breaking, Hierarchical Symmetry Reduction, Unified Pulse Interaction, Recursive Phase Decoherence, Recursive Field Evolution and Force Genesis.
