Local Sync
Definition
Local Sync is the simplest phase-navigation mode, which uses only the phase alignment parameter φ⇉: control is simple, but its range is limited.
It is the first entry in the book's Navigation Mode Classifications, the operational frameworks for moving through the substrate by engaging phase information, set against Thiemann's canonical quantization of gravity. The four modes run from Local Sync (φ⇉ only; simple control, limited range) through Gradient Riding (∇φ optimization; high efficiency, requires mapping) and Attractor Seeking (φ▷ prediction; long range, complex computation) to Mesh Navigation (full phase topology; maximum flexibility, high data requirements). The classification balances control complexity against range. In the book's Where-list, φ⇉ is [∅].
It connects to Attractor Seeking, Mesh Navigation, Quantum Phase Coupling, Phase Projection Navigation and the Phase Navigation Principles.
