Open and Closed Data

Definition

Open and Closed Data is the reading of relativity's energy–momentum relation as data: light is open data, all of it travelling at 𝒞→; matter is closed data, part of it circulating in place, and it moves slower by the share that circulates; a well is data closed entirely. The share p·𝒞→ of a body's energy travels and the share m·𝒞→² is closed into a cycle, so its speed is the travelling share of its whole, v/𝒞→ = p𝒞→/E. Light has no closed share and moves at 𝒞→; matter has one and moves slower, and at rest all of it circulates. Underneath, matter still moves at 𝒞→: in Dirac's theory the electron's instantaneous velocity is always ±c, a trembling motion (Schrödinger's zitterbewegung) whose average is slower. Closed light weighs: a box of radiation is heavier by its energy over c², and most of a proton's mass is the energy of the fields bound inside it. Light is the freest form of data, the most information for its energy, since radiation in equilibrium has the greatest entropy for its energy, about 3.60 k_B or 5.2 bits per photon of thermal light; a photon is the smallest moving bundle of data, not one bit, and photons are made and unmade while the data beneath them is conserved. A well is the densest form, the most data for its size, since only a horizon reaches the holographic bound, and light squeezed to that bound becomes a well. So data takes three forms: matter, closed and rich in structure; light, open and the freest; and the well, closed entirely and the densest. Formally, E² = (p·𝒞→)² + (m·𝒞→²)² and v = 𝒞→·(p·𝒞→)/E, where E is the energy [𝕄·𝕃²·𝕋⁻²], p the momentum, p·𝒞→ the share that travels [𝕄·𝕃·𝕋⁻¹], m the rest mass, m·𝒞→² the share closed into a cycle [𝕄], v the speed and 𝒞→ light speed [𝕃·𝕋⁻¹]: [𝕃·𝕋⁻¹] = [𝕃·𝕋⁻¹]·[𝕄·𝕃²·𝕋⁻²]/[𝕄·𝕃²·𝕋⁻²]. It connects to Data Light Speed Relation, BPT Mass-Energy Equivalence, Pulsecore Data Radiance, Dimensional Genesis, Temporal Genesis and Bifold Containment Law.

Mathematical Expression

E² = (p · 𝒞→)² + (m · 𝒞→²)², v = 𝒞→ · (p · 𝒞→) / E [𝕃·𝕋⁻¹]
