Resonance Coupling
Definition
Resonance Coupling is the mechanism by which the substrate's harmonic relationships amplify the linear growth rate of computational complexity into quadratic scaling.
In the book's derivation, each recursion step k adds a processing cost equal to the k previous binary decisions, so the load L_n = n(n+1)/2 grows at the rate dL/dn = n + 1. Resonance Coupling is the step that carries this into the pulse density P(n) = (n+1)²: processing time, amplified through resonance with that harmonic structure, becomes T_n ≈ T_0 × (n+1)². It is thus the link between computational load accumulation and the quadratic time scaling of Temporal Drag, through which recursive complexity produces systematic temporal deceleration.
It connects to Computational Load Accumulation, Recursive Pulse Cycle Time, the Harmonic Origin Pulse, Cumulative Complexity Accumulation and Temporal Drag.
