Wave Regime

Definition

The Wave Regime is the range of the Duality Parameter, D >> 1, in which an object's de Broglie wavelength is much larger than its characteristic form length, so extended field behavior dominates over localized form. It is one end of the book's classification of wave-particle behavior by the single ratio D: the Wave Regime at D >> 1, the Transition Regime at D ≈ 1 where both coexist, and the Particle Regime at D << 1 where localized form dominates. In the wave regime a system has not crystallized into form; it behaves as part of the oscillatory field. The book presents this as a resolution of wave-particle duality through recursive form theory. Among the Chapter 7.6 predictions, the transitions between regimes are to be measured through fringe visibility in matter-wave interferometry. The condition is D >> 1, with D = λ_dB/L▢, where D is the Duality Parameter, λ_dB the de Broglie wavelength and L▢ the characteristic form length scale; D is dimensionless [∅]. It connects to the Duality Parameter, Particle Regime, Transition Regime, Characteristic Form Length Scale and Resonant Field of Becoming.
