Game versions

Every version of the pulse game, served exactly as it was. Earlier versions play but do not save.

  1. Version 1July 2025 · tag 1.0

The first grid: paint cells, start, stop, randomize. One script, one stylesheet.

  2. Version 2July 2025 · tag 2.1

Zoom, a colour picker, the reversible pulse counter and the simulation mode toggle.

  3. Version 3September 2025 · tag 3.82

Nova events, climax groups, tension and fold logic, the About, Directions and Algos pages. The last version before the site grew around it.

  4. Version 4September 2026 · tag 4.0

The last flat game: the site bar, phone controls, the About, Directions, Algos and Nova Data panels, keyed saves. It still saves.

  5. Version 5October 2026 · tag 5.0 · current, at /game/

The universe in the game, in 3D. Paint the pinpoint, seal it, and the overflow is the Data Nova that turns it inside out into a torus with a void at its heart: the void is the pulse you painted, at its fixed size, receding as the universe grows toward its final well. No thresholds to set: cells reverse every pulse, null cells bifurcate at one whole pulse of exposure, enclosed cells fold. Wells send rings, rings meet as time crystals, strings run out of the void, wells born together orbit and merge and spin is born of the orbit. At 2^L own pulses the final well forms, the field dissipates into null and a new UniSphere bifurcates in each well: play one, or bank the credits. The Zinf chain beats by itself at level 0. Every rule is on the Rules page with its chapter, every nova is recorded with the universe's figures at Nova Data, and every find at Crystals and Strings.
