Base Calculation
Definition
The Base Calculation is the irreducible computational process by which binary state transitions produce quantized energy, running at the temporal quantum set by the Pulse Rhythm, ①⥂⧖⌂ = ①⥂⧗⌂/2.
The book presents it as the mechanism through which computation generates measurable physical energy: each binary state change corresponds to a quantum of energy, establishing a direct link between binary transitions and quantum-mechanical energy quantization and, in the book's words, closing the gap between information theory and physical energy that Wheeler's "it from bit" anticipated. The temporal quantum ①⥂⧖⌂ = ①⥂⧗⌂/2 forms the architectural foundation on which all energy generation operates, consistent with quantum gravitational time scales while giving discrete resolution for recursive development. The book draws the corollary that Planck time is not fundamental but emerges from more fundamental binary operations. The Base Calculation is the starting point from which folding, the Stability Index and Recursive Integration toward a Data Nova build up.
E⊶ = ℏ × ω₁ × n○, where E⊶ is the energy of a state transition, ℏ the reduced Planck constant, ω₁ the fundamental frequency and n○ the occupation number (0 or 1); ①⥂⧖⌂ is the Pulse Rhythm and ①⥂⧗⌂ the Local Pulse Tempo, the Planck time.
It connects to Pulse Rhythm Definition, Planck Time, Folding Mechanism, Stability Index, Recursive Integration, Data Nova and Binary State Flip.
