Effective Light Speed
Definition
Effective Light Speed is the reduced speed at which information propagates at recursion depth n in the substrate, falling as the inverse square of (n + 1), so that deeper recursive layers have slower causal propagation.
The book attributes the reduction to Computational Impedance: computational complexity accumulates with recursion depth and systematically slows information transfer. Causality at depth n is then bounded by the effective speed, |dx| โค ๐โโน,n ร dt, and a signal crossing a distance d takes ฮtโน = d/๐โโน,n = d(n + 1)ยฒ/๐โ_0 [๐]. Causal Cone Modification keeps causality intact as long as this delay is shorter than the recursive pulse cycle time at that depth, ฮtโน < T_n; beyond it, depth-dependent causal structure can separate temporal regimes, a Causal Disconnection. It is an effective speed, the average through structure, as light crossing glass averages c/n while it moves at c between the atoms: by the Data Light Speed Relation the step speed stays ๐โ at every depth, and the impedance is time spent within the structure.
The book writes ๐โโน,n = ๐โ_0/(n + 1)ยฒ, where ๐โโน,n is the Effective Light Speed at recursion depth n [๐ยท๐โปยน], ๐โ_0 the vacuum light speed [๐ยท๐โปยน] and n the recursion depth index [โ
]. Dividing a speed by a pure number leaves [๐ยท๐โปยน].
Effective Light Speed connects to Computational Impedance, Causal Cone Modification, Causal Disconnection, Recursive Pulse Cycle Time, Temporal Drag, Data Density Modified Light Speed and Data Light Speed Relation.
