Set the origin before Start. These lock at genesis, as a universe's do.
No couplings to set: the rest follows the book. The Pulsecore is a bubble of data inside the Bifold, the line between the dimensions. Every bit carries its null: when data and null fill its 16·4L places, the Null Nova expels the null as space, and when the data alone fills it, (n + 1)² after n Tempos, the Data Nova pours the data out. The Bifold turns as a Kerr horizon does. The data circulates at light speed, half the field a flip. G is fixed by the Rupture: by the universe's end everything has clumped.
No thresholds to set. A cell that has pulsed reverses every pulse. A null cell bifurcates when its neighbours have exposed it to one whole pulse. A cell enclosed by its own phase folds back to null. The Pulsecore gives the Null Nova when its data and their nulls fill it, and the Data Nova when its data alone does (the Bifold Containment Law); the later novas are the harmonic series of the universe's life. The rules and where each comes from are on the Rules page.
The simulation, version 7
Binary Pulse Theory as a game. Every cell is a pulse flickering between 0 and 1. This version gives the field a universe: a level, a genesis, a heritage, two clocks, a rupture and children. The numbers are the book's, and the real universe runs beside yours through the same equations.
Brush, pulse injector and pattern stamper. Right-click any cell to erase it.
Start and Stop the field, and step Reverse through earlier pulses.
The cell rule has no thresholds: reversal, bifurcation at one whole pulse of exposure, fold when enclosed. The Rules page says where each comes from.
4·2^L cells a side, from the Local Pixel Count. Zoom is the only free control.
Download a design as JSON and upload it again later.
Debug numbers, grid lines and a colour picker for the cells.
Pick the collision channel or set the two spins, their misalignment and the null mass. The inherited spin a_f and the compression ⟪C⟫ follow (chapter 6, Parts 6.8 and 6.9).
Your Tempos count toward 2^L, the UniSphere's capacity at your level. Each one lasts s Zinf cycles and carries 2^(L+1) bits (Bits per Pulse, chapter 1).
At 2^L own Tempos the final well forms, the data returns through the wells to the Source, and that return seeds a new UniSphere in each well; about one child in sixteen fails and seeds nothing. Pick one in Lineage, or stay and bank the credits.
What you paint is the information inside the Pulsecore. Start seals it and processes it; the Null Nova expels its null as empty space, and the Data Nova turns it inside out onto that space, a universe with the Hollow at its heart.
Space is dragged around the void with a_f, the axis runs through the field, and in 3D the torus turns. At level 0 there is no spin: it is born when two wells first merge.
Every well sends rings; where rings meet in step a time crystal forms, deeper where more meet. Strings run out of the void. Pops announce each find; the Collection keeps them.

Your finds
Time crystals form where rings from your wells meet, deeper where more rings meet. Strings run out of the void. Each Data Nova is a genesis of the Outward Expansion Set. Kept in this browser.

Nova data
Each nova is saved with the universe's figures at that moment, and every crystal and string under the universe it formed in. These are the totals across every game played.
