Nova Data

A Data Nova is information overflowing into physical energy: the pinpoint has flipped once per cell and turns inside out, and every overflow after that collapses into a null well of the universe. Each one is recorded here with the universe’s figures at that moment. Universes played on version five carry the book’s variables; the earlier versions’ timelines carry the settings they had.

mean wells the engine counted the Progeny Count Law, 2^(L/3) raised by spin. The engine is never told the law; this is the experiment. Since 29 October 2026 a deep universe counts each well as what it is (a clump or a heart one well, a stellar well the stars it stands for), so the gap at depth is the wells the book calls unseen (Part 3.14); earlier deep runs counted each drawn well as a share of the law.
